About the Performers
John Novosad: John Novosad is a stand-up comedian based out of the Comedy Works in Denver, Colorado. John grew up in Boulder, Colorado. He’s performed in clubs, theatres, and bars across the country for over thirty years.
Making his network television debut on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, John followed that up with a second performance on the Ferguson show. He’s also appeared on Bryon Allen’s nationally syndicated Comedy. TV.
John’s album, “Jokes I Can Only Tell Here,” on The Laugh Button record label was released in the spring of 2022 and is streaming on all platforms.
John has toured extensively over the years and continues to do so. A favorite at Denver's Comedy Works, John’s disarming presence and sharp wit create a versatile and engaging performance every time!
Anthony Bartolo: Catholic. Asian. New Jersey. These are the backgrounds that have influenced comedian Anthony Bartolo. Residing in the city of Boulder, Anthony has performed professionally throughout the state of Colorado and Wyoming for nearly a decade. He serves as host for the monthly comedy showcase at Finkel & Garf Brewing, as well as co-hosts of the comedy open mic at VisionQuest Brewery.
David Alan Freitas: David Alan Freitas is an American comedian and actor from Oxnard, California who has acted in short films and local theatre since 2010. He has written for opening comics at the World Famous Comedy Store in La Jolla and performed at The Improv in Oxnard, The Ventura Harbor Comedy Club, and many other clubs. David is also a trivia host, has co-hosted podcasts, and incorporates voices and impersonations into his performances and daily life.
Martin Phillips: Martin Phillips won the funniest college student in DC and hasn't stopped yet. He's been all over the country, doing festivals and clubs. Martin was in DC for a long time but just relocated to Austin, TX.
Jeremy Plumb: From stand-up to improv, Jeremy Plumb has mastered the art of being a semi-professional clown. Jeremy started his stand-up career in Omaha nearly 8 years ago, quickly became a crowd favorite, and has now performed in seven states across the country. Jeremy continues to bring his self-deprecating, yet whimsical, humor to crowds large and small. In 2023, Jeremy was featured at the Sno Jam Comedy Festival in South Dakota. Jeremy has also appeared in the World Series of Comedy and has been a returning talent at the Omaha Fringe Festival in both 2021 and 2022. Jeremy has been featured on local television shows including "Oma-Ha comedy show" and "Dungeons of Aksarben", the latter of which he produces and directs. Jeremy has also expanded his skills as a producer and show creator as the Artistic Director of the Blackstone Theater.
Mandy Kay: Mandy Kay is an absolute delight, just ask her! Her relatable style and Southern Charm brings smiles to everyone she meets. Growing up in the South and now residing in Denver, she has captured audiences while being unapologetically in her 40s. She was a featured performer at the 2021 High Plains Comedy Festival in Denver, a semi-finalist in the 2022 Funniest Person In Austin Contest at Cap City Comedy, and she’s continually popping up at comedy festivals across the country. She has also cleaned bathrooms in several different states but tries not to brag about it too much.
Deborah Lastowka: Hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Deborah Lastowka has awkwardly emerged onto Denver's comedy scene, performing for resident cats, other comics waiting to go up, and people who did not even know a comedy show was happening. She runs a bi-weekly comedy showcase at First Draft Taproom + Kitchen that gets really sweaty on a good night.
